How to remove lower side fairing?

Do you have to take the mirrors and part of the front nose fairing off in order to remove the side panels? As I need access to the engine.

Or do the side lower fairings come off independantly?

Thanks, Aran

By side panels do you mean the bit the indicator pokes through or the fairing lowers?

Fairing lowers.

or/and what ever else needs removing so a mechanic can get at the engine.

Fairing lowers are a couple of bolts in the top fairing (that has the indicator poking out) and one at the bottom near the back (near foot levers) at each side and you may need to split it in the middle but I just dragged it off whole (carefully). I may have missed a few bolts but it's really simple once you're looking at it.

If he wants to get at the engine you'll probably need the rear seat and tank off too.
