Completely Stuck brake piston

How do all

I've just went to strip off the caliper to redo the seals (with one of them being a bar way) went to remove the top right piston and its stuck fast :(

Any suggestions to get the wee bugger out? :study:

get a brush shaft , cut it about a foot , taper the end so it fits inside the piston but make sure its a tight fit, hammer it in , then work it out(twist, turn, pull etc) with the piston attached.

Compressed air and a large bucket of water to slow it down when it comes shooting out!

Fun and educational :)

That's what I'd do as well. Clamp the other piston(s) in place or use a wooden chock to stop them coming out then pump the lever. Careful though cos it might fly out and spray you with brake fluid.

It came out after a lot of persuasion after I reconnected the caliper to the master cylinder.
It still took a good 5 mins to get the piston to shift!

Found what the culprit was: perished weather seal
