Mixing tyres?

Not as bad as it sounds...

It's not going to be long until I need to replace the rear. Currently, I have Avon Viper Sports on and although the rear is on it's way, the front seems to have hardly been touched.

My question is would it be ok to put a Storm on the back to get a bit longer out of it or should I really get another Viper?

Just depends on the stickiness of the rubber and the profile of the tyres. Some combinations could be fine, some can be horrible.

I've got an Avon Storm Ultra on the front and a stock Dunlop on the rear. Seems to be OK.
