Pre-load adjusters on curvy forks?
 

I've noticed a few pictures of curvy model SVs with pre-load adjusters on the forks. My curvy doesn't have any adjustment at all on it so I'm assuming that people are fitting these adjusters retrospectively. Am I right and if so what are they from?

Money better spent on the insides, not the out. When you have proper springs and sag set you won't touch them.

It was more in the nature of an idle enquiry really yc. Forks are not too bad on the whole, they seem to work ok for my 11½ stone. When I do finally pull them apart 9probably next winter) I'm likely to be putting a set of progressive springs in along with new oil, seals and bushes. I may well just top them off with a set of preload adjusters.

I would spend on those cheap emulators from states instead if you were determined to spend money. Also I would not replace seals and bushes unless they needed it.

The seals certainly will need doing by then if not before. They are already leaving a faint black ring of dirty oil around the top limit of the travel on the stanchions after a few days of riding so I suspect given the mileage I'm clocking up on the bike they are going to need doing sooner rather than much later. I'm inclined to give the forks a really good overhaul while I have them apart.

Just put K-Tech springs in my Curvy @ 37000 miles. Seals & bushes were fine.
Wouldn't be surprised if most of the black line is road filth?
