"Drive Safely" video

This video has some pretty disturbing scenes in it, and/so I would really not advise watching it if you're in a bad, nor sad, nor depressed mood, at all.

Otherwise;

Wow, very powerful video. Shocking.

4:15 I have seen the aftermath of this similar accident on the way home from work once on the M25. A car had been completely flattened by a lorry. The roof of the car was no more than half a meter from the ground. Whoever was inside that car must have been killed instantly. Tragic how this sort of thing can happen so quickly.

It just made me think so much, and these are just compiled clips to a song, imagine the capacity had a pro organisation done it- leading on to my next point

Wasn't there a police in Britain which had employed the idea of showing disturbing images to speeders?
In my Speed Awareness Workshop, I walked away, honestly, not at all swayed. Had they shown me this, I would seriously have thought. Let alone if the government put some money into a good film.

Aside, the clip of the girl and boy crushed together really touched me. My girlfriend was led next to me resting her beautiful eyes. Really hit me.

Should be played on normal tv as the campaign not just the speeders redemption meetings IMO.
Its shocking and really conveys the message.

A lot of those clips have been played on TV. the one that was mentioned about about the girl and boy on the wall, that was a Northern Irish advert.

I live in an area which has quite a high proportion of fatal and serious injury RTCs, mainly involving young locals. It's a horrible, horrible thing. A girl I went to school with died when she was 17, about a month or so after passing her test. Another local lad, who also went to school with us turned up and basically watched her dying, there was nothing he could do.

I missed being involved in a triple fatal RTC by about 20 minutes a few years ago. I was just out of college and was on my driving course. I left about half an hour earlier to go to my digs near to HQ than what I normally would. Had I left at my usual time I would have been either involved or been a witness. Was basically three cars full of lads, racing on a main arterial route. One car overtook on a blind bend, crossing double whites into an overtaking lane and crashed into a girl and her boyfriend. His two passengers died, the girl driving the other car died and her boyfriend was left with severe brain damage. Two, or maybe three, of the boys are currently serving jail sentences.

Driving like that not only ruins the lives of the dead and their families, but also the drivers who have to live with it for the rest of their lives.

I take it them were the ones driving then? Wouldnt like to think you can be locked up for being a passenger
