Helmet earrings

No i`m not thinking about getting my helmet pierced..........well, not today anyway.

Last time I had a bike I didn`t have pierced ears, and now I have, so when I tried on my dusty helmet the other day I dam near ripped my ears off :(
So, what earrings do folk wear when going out on your bikes ? I assume I need to buy sleeper earrings and wear those but just wondered.

:)

i only have 1 ear peirced being a guy, but i just wear a stud or any flat earing and im fine, doesn't get caught or uncomfortable or anything...definetly would avoid any dangly earings, more trouble than there worth.

I save my dangley earrings to go with my pole-dancer shoes......:)
My everyday ones are the originals I got pierced with so have a pointy end behind my ears and are longer than normal ones. I assume normal length may be fine but did wonder if a ring would be better or worse.

My mate has multiple earrings on both ears and doesnt seem to have any issue, but would help by maybe getting your hair to cover the ear as you put on the helmet so it slides over more easily? or some form of balaclava so it cannot get caught on anything?

Well that was the other thing, i`ve now got longish hair too but thought it better to pull it back before I pulled the helmet on so I dont end up with a stupid "doo" when I take it off, lol.

On a similar note, do most people take their lid off when paying for petrol ? I got a flip front helmet so I dont have to but it makes me look like a fat kid with its head stuck in lift doors lol.

Haha, i used to do that when i had longer hair, however now i just leave it as it is so can easily get lid on over earphones and it doesnt get too bad, just depends how much sticks out the bottom the lid.

Nah i dont bother unless asked to by the cashier. Its too much hassle especially if its busy.

Lots of stores/petrol stations here now require you remove your helmet before entering.

I always wear sleepers myself anyway. I had balion hoops for years and the designs on them always caught on the inside of the lid, so I ended up carrying spares in my purse.
These days I wear plain smooth hoops with balls in the middle, and so far I haven't lost one :-)
