EBC vs Gold Fren front pads
 

Need to get new front pads. EBC are £40 pair, Gold Fren £25.

What advantage do EBC have if any?

KJ you won't notice the difference. I got Kyoto ones for mine from Wemoto

i,ve just replaced pads with goldfren on 99 sv. good quality, no problems at all, work great, good value.

No problemo, what I meant to say, is that you won't notice the difference between a leading brand and the cheaper ones.

Only hard riders & racers would pick up any short comings of pads

I've used both EBC & GoldFren , could not feel much difference so use Gold Fren now get em off ebay less than 25 quid for a pair of front pads

I have put ebc's in mine recently and previously used gold fren in the past. not much difference between the both of them to be honest.

I've used Goldfren before and never had a problem. I have them in the back caliper of the SV now and they do the job with no fuss.

I need to replace my front pads soon and have been looking at Wemoto as usual. The Kyoto pads are cheaper, are they ok as you say. Anyone else tried Kyoto?
