Thoughts on this Curvy for sale?

I've been asked by a pal of KT's to help her find an SV as her first bike. She's spotted this one, which is only an hour or so up the road from us and wants to go and see it tonight.

To me, it's way, way to expensive - £2,200 for a 02 plate Curvy seems mental to me but I wanted to check with the 'Org to see if that's just me being a miserable old git?!

Curvy for sale on Bike Trader

Any input and opinions welcome please!

It does look nice & tidy enough from the photos, but I was thinking something like £1600 would have been a bit more realistic?

Very nice indeed but you're right - a bit pricey.

There's a '99 curvy on the org at the moment that looks like a real bargain at £1000.

It would mean trekking down to Leeds to collect, but £1200 buys an awful lot of diesel even after you've paid to hire a van.

Just my thoughts,

Keith.

Wow, 12k miles, private sale??? Not worth anywhere near £2200. The org throws up some great bikes at great prices quite regularly and generally they have most of the common mods done already. Just keep checking.

Way too pricey. I paid 1800 for mine 2 years ago, with 7000 on the clocks.

Dizzy's immaculate black cury is still up for sale I think, as is the other one mentioned above.

Buy one for less money and either catch the train & pick it up or hire a bike trailer and tow it back.

Spend what you've saved on a good shock & fork springs

Here's another tidy example for sale £1600. I know its a long way from you, but £700 difference

Well James I'd be expecting that sort of price in a dealers but not private. Although IMO its probably better than mine in some respects, but then I'm honest and I always pick holes in my own...if I was to see this one close up I'd probably do the same!

According to Parkers guide you should be looking around the same mark as I was asking, £1400, maybe slightly more for an immaculate one. I priced mine honestly to sell, a lot of people like to beef their pride and joy up a bit, by adding value with all the add ons, but it doesn't work like that.
