Front mudguard fittings?

I have had to replace my front mudguard due to it getting smashed up :(

I have a shiny new (second hand) mudguard but I do not have the fittings and as far as I can tell my old fittings got chucked. :(

Anyone know where I can get something to use as a replacement?

What bike do you have?

Makes me feel silly I should've mentioned. Sv 650 curvy 01 model.

Thinking of using a nut bolt and washer. Only worry being difficulty to fit and clearance.

Re: Front mudguard fittings?

There are two 8mm headed bolts and a 50~ish mm long plate with a threaded hole in each end on either side. The threaded holes have projections on them such that the plate is tightened against the fork leg rather than the plastic of the mudguard being squeezed when the bolt is tightened.

I suspect that suitable bolts and nuts will be fine, use a washer under the nut and I'd use a Nyloc or similar nut so the whole can be tightened just enough to hold the mudguard in place without crushing the plastic.
