WD40 on disks
 
got some on my disk by accident :ncool: anyone got any home made soulutions to get rid ?

*I THINK* petrol works, could be wrong check elsewhere first.

EDIT: Found a weblink which suggests aceitone is the best way to remove it but god knows where you find that.

I *thought* we had established that WD40 is not a lubricant so it *should* be fine :)

Acetone...
The common ingrediant in Nail Polish remover.
So there you go, to remove WD40 use nail polish remover.

A banana skin is not a lubricant, but it is still slippy :D

Aerosol Brake Cleaner should do the trick. I get it from our local Pound Shop, it's a pound and it works.

just wash the damn discs, then go out and ride it to scrub it off

Could be worse, could have been ACF50...then you'd reallllly be in trouble!!

Yep that should do the job/pads may need some looking at if u think there contaminated.
