Yeah, there was a 'songs that make you think of summer' thread before. This is a bit different...

This is songs that make you think of a SPECIFIC summer. You know, there's one song that defined the summer*. It's not complete but I'm working on it. Oh, and I've tried to put an alternative too:

1999: Mucho Mambo (Sway) - Shaft
2000: We Like To Party - The Vengaboys
2001: Do You Really Like It - DJ Pied Piper
2002: A Little Less Conversation - Elvis vs JXL (or Get Over You - Sophie Ellis Bext0r)
2003: Move Your Feet - Junior Senior
2004: Dragostea din tei - O Zone (or Some Girls - Rachel Stevens)
2005: Feel Good Inc - Gorillaz
2006: Monster - The Automatic (or Smile - Lily Allen)
2007: Umbrella - Rihanna (or With Every Heartbeat - Robyn)
2008: I Kissed A Girl - Katy Perry
2009: (this was the summer of Lady GaGa but if you don't like her, Something For The Weekend - Calvin Harris)
