Paddock stand - Hooks and bobbins or not?
Hi there,
Just got my hands on a paddock stand. Just wondering if it's best to use hooks and bobbins, or use the universal "shoes" that come with it? Cheers, Toby |

Don't use the shoes if you have a '99 - '02, the position of the rear brake caliper fouls the shoes and prevents you getting a stable position on the swingarm, I've just learned this to my cost.
Use the bobbins, far easier, safer and quicker. |

I've found the bobbins way easier. The universal cups were a bit of a faff

Bobbins and hooks scratched my swing arm.

Ah right, I see what you did there.:) |

Go for the bobbins and forks, the cup things are not as stable. I've had bikes fall off stands with cups as they have a tendancy to slip.
