bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
ok first question - am i right in thinking there are 2 bearings in the rear wheel? 1 in cush drive and 1 other side..?
Should i look for specific make (I'm replacing) + where from? also, Im in need of new sprocket nuts - do they need to be special alloy nuts? where from? Many thanks, James |
Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
It was the sprocket carrier i bearing i needed, which is ordered. Just need some advise on the sprocket nuts, all i can find are the anodised jobbies on ebay which are almost £20 for 5 small bolts !

Three bearings - two in wheel, one in cush.

Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
I always go with decent branded bearings, SKF, Koyo are good. 'Made in Russia' are bad. ;-)
Get nuts from Suzuki. Druid |
Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
I got koyo bearings for the rear and have part numbers here for them , I ordered Stainless Sprocket Nuts from Pro bolt , do not use alloy ones .

Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
Good morning all.
Ditto the Druid. Use a reputable make. I use Koyo bearings. As, I have found that they tend to last longer than most other makes. I think You will need 2 6303 bearings for the wheel, & a 6205 bearing for the cush drive. Double check these numbers, as my memery aint what it was.:D Make sure you get bearings that have plastic/rubber seals on both sides. As, these are better at keeping water out, & grease in. Bearing manufacturers typically use DDU or 2RS as a suffix to denote that the bearings are sealed in this way. i.e. 6303 2RS or 6205 DDU etc. Cheers. |

Hmmmmm , what I have here for my K3 pointy is 2 x 6204 2RS C3 and 1 x 6305 2RS C3 (Koyo part numbers with seals on both sides) |

Well spotted! I was most likely quoting the numbers for curvy wheels:D Cheers. |
Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
well to be fair , the OP didn`t mention what SV it was , so anyone looking for bearing numbers has got a choice here now :)
Incidentally I bought new Dust Seals as well when I got my bearings but didn`t manage to get part numbers for them but WeMoto do a whole bearing and seal kit for about £20 which is ok . |
Re: bearings + sprkcet nuts Q's
Spanner man, what you reckon with C3 clearance. Reckon they need it?
