Howdy.
Thought I'd say hi. I'm in Cambridge and only learnt to ride last year, after riding a few small bikes when I was young, then loving having a moped (;)) in Vietnam. Had an SV650 since last October.
Will hopefully make it out to a meet sometime this summer. Quite fancy seeing a few SVs, to see how my front forks compare. (Surely they don't all feel like mine :)). James |
Re: Howdy.
Howdo, welcome to Ear. Front forks always look rough.

Hi and Welcome :smt039
I only started riding last year too, but lurve my SV :p The 'East Anglian Revolution' are having their second rideout of the year in a fortnight details here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=151411. Why dont you come along, we're a good bunch, have a laugh, ride relatively sensibly but enjoy it!! |

Welcome :D
When you say "Surely they don't all feel like mine" - do you mean from a handling point of view or a looks point of view? |

Welcome to the org.
I also only passed my test last year. with regards to your suspension i think it was a fellow EAR member that gave me this link http://www.gostar-racing.com/information/motorcycle_suspension_set-up.htm it helps a bit but as many people have said the standard suspension isn't great. I did however find that the last owner of my bike had the rear preload set to its minimum and just setting it back to standard seemed to make quite a difference |
