Assen MotoGP Trip

Due to a late withdrawal (ie one of the guys having his long weekend cancelled by his boss !!!), we've got a spare place on our annual trip from Leeds. We've got a return ferry place on the Newcastle - Amsterdam route, a grandstand ticket for the race and also accommodation. We're staying at Vakantiepark Witterzomer, which is a holiday park with tents, caravans and a number of chalets, where we have a 6 berth chalet.

This is a world away from the Butlins style camps you get here - we've been a couple of times already and it's a really nice place to visit. It's also half way between the town centre and the circuit - both are within walking distance (although there are plenty of taxis for the lazy !!!!).

The guys that go range in age from mid-30s - mid 40s and are a good laugh without being over the top. Usually !!!

Dates -
Wed 23rd June Boat from Newcastle @ 17.00 (loading 14.30 - 16.30)
Thur 24th June Amsterdam - Assen (followed by a couple of beers)
Fri 25th June Trip to Dwingeloo / Groningen ? 80th anniversary street party in Assen
Sat 26th June MotoGP (followed by curry and beer)
Sun 27th June Assen - Amsterdam for boat @ 17.00 (loading 14.30 - 16.30)

Total cost all in would be about £340 but, given that we're just looking to recoup some costs, we're not looking for anyone to pay that much. Let me know if you're interested and, if so, how much you'd pay. It's worth adding that it's worth paying a fair wedge for the street party the night before alone. It's fantastic, and impossible to imagine them shutting a town centre like that here. If you've been, you'll know what I mean .......

It is, isn't it ? It's so good we always end up going back. As usual, we'll say we're going somewhere else next year for a change but will end up back there again !!!!
