fitting sv wheels to gsxr front end
is there anyway a sv wheel can be fitted to a gsxr front end
|
Re: fitting sv wheels to gsxr front end
depends, you would have to change the bearings and then somehow space the disks out or space the calipers in a fair bit, not worth the trouble

Re: fitting sv wheels to gsxr front end
as above... but someone on here did do it, i think it was on a silver curvy and the name began with an M. I think. I think they had a spindle made to fit the SV bearings to the GSXR forks.

rings a bell... could be.

Yep, it was me! It can be done, have a look in my picture albums and see the special front spindle I had made for me.
I can't take the credit for dreaming up the idea, but it can be done. Depends on the front end you're going to fit as well. The spindle and spacers wouldn't be difficult for an engineering firm to knock out. |

Re: fitting sv wheels to gsxr front end
I take it you used stock calipers as well?

Re: fitting sv wheels to gsxr front end
Different hole spacing where they mount, and no point.
Maviczaps is GSXR slingshot parts so probably easier to do than SRAD or later. Personally I don't see point of using slingshot parts because using SRAD or later is so easy and they are better parts. |
