Which screen?
Hey,
Have searched on the forum, but really wanted to know people's experience of Airblade screens, or if the more expensive ones, such as Zero Gravity are a better choice? Getting tired of the standard screen throwing everything in my face! Bokki |

Re: Which screen?
I had an MRA screen, took the wind from your upper body and directed it all at your face. Good to crouch behind though.
Also was very well made. |

Mine is a pointy though, maybe yours is a curvy? The pointy one is lower than the standard screen, but with a more upright rake to it, doesn't look like a true double bubble screen. I can't say that I notice much difference in wind blast compaired tthe standard screen, maybe a little better but not really that noticable. Only trouble I had with it was getting the clock surround panel to fit flush against it, requiring a little of the plastic that the top screws locate into be trimmed a little. HTH |
Re: Which screen?
I think a lot of the time it just comes down to personnal choice and budget. I have recently purchased an F.Fabbri double bubble screen which is dark tinted and definately felt a difference in airflow when riding.
It's pretty easy to fit as well just remember that after you remove the screws to pull the rubber bungs out as well. They need a good yank to get the out and it can be a bit fiddly getting then back in but a set of long nose pliers do the trick. |

Although my head is just above where it redirects the wind so works perfectly. |
Re: Which screen?
just fitted a zero gravity db screen to my pointy, fantastic bit of kit. Looks good too

Re: Which screen?
I have a zero gravity sports touring screen on mine now due to the motorway mileage in my commute and it works a treat.

Re: Which screen?
I had an Airblade on my curvy, and a ZG on my SV1000 - the ZG was definitely better quality.

Re: Which screen?
Wasn't a fan of the Zero Gravity screens, great fit and quality, but just did ****e all for wind resistance and made the bike look funny at the front.
Fabbri screens, IMO, are better looking and direct more wind over and around the rider. |
