Is this sprocket knackered?
not sure how long i can get away with it like this? dont have much money atm so want to know how long this is safe to use,

Certainly seen better days, that's for sure.
A new sprocket is under a tenner. Get one from Diamonds in Rugby, then you'll save the postage. I think he does a generic make too, which should be cheaper. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ech/1org-2.jpg If you are too hard up, then just keep it well lubed and avoid harsh acceleration and braking.That's what I'd do anyway. |

is it ok to just change the front sprocket ?

I always do. A front could wear out 3 times quicker than a rear.

ok then will get a new front just to be on the safe side as i would rather spend £15 and not have to pay out on a new bike because the sprocket snapped
