Just curious, but why is it that racers get rid of used tyres after as little as 10 laps.

Dooes the performance drop that much after just one heat cycle?

Only the Bridgestones have done 10 laps . I just found that I couldnt get on with them . They are very good tyres , but I dont have the budget to have multiple test days , setting up my bikes before the race weekends . Normally I turn up on Saturday morning and go straight into qualifying ! I have run Pirellis (be it dragon supercorsas or diablos ) since I started racing and just decided to go back to using them as I know them .

We just like to operate as a 'running in' service, its our good deed for the biking community :-)
