Cheap socket set

Don't know if it's worth the cheesium it's possibly made out of but it could be good.

Six sided sockets, less chance of rouding something off, hell, might buy one to keep in the Land Rover

Some Lidl, Aldi etc tools are actually quite good, especially for the money compared with other places. I have a Lidl screwdriver set which so far has lasted a dam sight longer than an expensive Stanley set.

Also, you drive a Land Rover and don`t have it stocked with tons of tools ? Risky ;) lol

indeed, but I'm in a job where I tend to use and abuse tools every day.
I stand buy my first post in this thread.
even though I do have a few crap tools for the use of abuse!

I do agree with you but if someone couldn't afford to drop (for example's sake) £100 on a pro set from Halfords then a £40 set is better than none and to be honest I think these would stand up quite well. You wouldn't buy these to be used on a commercial premises but for the very occasional user they should do just fine. And let's face it, there is ALWAYS an orger lurking not too far away willing to lend a hand/tools if needed.

Ha haa, I would normally take my socket set, spanners, some pliers, screwdrivers, cable ties and a knocking stick.... You HAVE to take the knocking stick and breaker bar too.

Could always take more out with you but you have to draw a line somewhere otherwise you'd be taking your garage with you.

Oh and the camping stove, barm cakes (bread rolls to you southern fairies) bacon and ketchup. Nearly as important as diesel

;)

I honestly dont know how people can break sockets lol, ive been using a cheapo £9.99 set for 8 years all are fine. The rachet is a bit funny now, but even the expensive rachets are not under warranty.

Like the guy said if using them commercially, my £10 set might last a month, but for regular home us its doing fine.

What the hell is a knocking stick ?

A bread roll is NOT a cake, a cake has sponge and icing and cream and jam and chocolate and nice tasty sweet...................fattening stuff :(
