Wanted 33bhp Ecu
 

Hi all

So i finally found bought myself a 07 (K6) SV its bloody gorgeous, so i'm now on the hunt for a 33bhp ecu restrictor, I have been told that I need to have the certificate to go with it for insurance purposes.
Anyone got one?

If so please let me know how much

Did your insurance company tell you that the certificate is required?! Its not actually a legal requirement to have the certificate of restriction.

O and enjoy the bike! :D

Thanks for the reply they said i needed to prove it was fitted through its certificate but will give them a call and see what they say, Maybe i could just buy the restrictor & get a garage receipt saying its been fitted.

Yeah i would talk to your insurance first, but for a K7 your restrictor is an ECU (as you stated and same as mine) there is no need for a garage to fit it. Simply unplug the full power ecu and plug in the restricted...job done.
Not sure what your insurance will want as proof though. Mine never even asked for anything other then declaring it.
