Rear Shock (yet again!)

I've had a search and there's alot about on this topic but I'm a bit uncertain on it all.

I want to fit a different shock to the back of my 2001 sv650. What shocks will go right on with out any modification and will suit a 10st guy for fast road use?

GSX? ZX?

Cheers all

Im around the 10st. mark and am looking at the 03/04 zx6r, if that helps at all.

Cheers mate. And is there any modification required to fit that shock?

Re: Rear Shock (yet again!)

I havent done it yet, but i think it requires a small cut into the battery box for the top of the shock, but that is required on almost all shock changes. But im sure someone like YC will be along soon to give you a certain answer.

You'll need to cut the battery tray and tank hinge (I had to) with most of the zx shocks.

How about the GSXR 1000 K1 shock?

Anyone got one on their bike?

I know nothing about shocks either, but in the picture (from an old thread) the bits highlighted in green show bits that are suitable and good compared to the SV shock, the the green bits on the length show shocks are should fit in well on the SV
