Tyre & gear lever question.

Hi chaps. Due for a new tyre and to replace the bent gear lever.

The front recently had a 'Maxxis Supermaxx Touring Radial' fitted. So I will get a maching rear Maxxis tyre.

Should I get the the same 'Touring Radial' or the 'Sport'?

and what size?

160/60 zr17 or 170/60 zr17

Will the 170 fit? I like the look of a wider tyre, but it's not that important.

Also, are the aftermarket gear levers anygood? I.e the cheap ones? and could anyone link me to where they are sold please?

Hope to get these ordered today or tomorrow!!

Thankyou, much love.

170 will fit fine. Mine did and i haven't noticed any real difference between this and the 160 it came with. Just go for the cheaper often if there both the same tyre.

Get the matching rear, don't fit a stickier rear than front.

Use the stock size, 170 will be pinched.

Re: Tyre & gear lever question.

get the 160, as the 170 screws up the handling and can have clearance issues.

for the gear lever get this as a cheappie is 4quid less and not a robust http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-2010-Suzu...item35aa06dda1

or try the bandit mania website
