That is the typical, could have probably made it no problem.

There is a few videos at that corner on YouTube, a few people doing the same and some clearly just going insanely quick lol

Target fixating on a nice soft landing. Argument whether he could have made it but in that situation if you are already going too quick to miss your tip in point all the time after that the corner would get tighter and tighter. I'd rather have hit that padding than the wall in the corner.
