Spam E-mails
I've gotten lots of spam recently, especially from phishers posing as a games company. However, it was nice to see a diferent tactic employed by a phisher tonight. Here's a copy of the spam:
"Dear Reader, Hello, my name is Princess Baubana of Africa and I am e-mailing you to ask for help. My late father owned vast tracks of land in Africa and was in the process of making a will at the time of his death. In the will he left the fortune to me, however I cannot get the will. The lawyers in control of the will want $5000 to get the will released and I cannot afford to pay them. If I can release the will, I will get control of 1 million acres of African savana and inherit my father's fortune. If you can give me that $5000 out of the kindness of your heart, I will be forever in your debt and I shall grant you 100,000 acres of land worth millions of dollars. So please, I beg you send me $5000 dollars so I may get my father's will. I have attached a document giving you my bank details so you can transfer the money. Thank you, Princess Baubana" :smt012 Needless to say I've not given the good princess her $5000 and have deleted the message and marked it as spam :D |
