Most would say Oakley or something. Peg wears 'Bloc' sunglasses when hes got his contact lenses in. Quite light in weight, cheaper than Oakleys too by a million miles. No metal parts to squish in your face if you have the misfortune of falling off.

I bought a pair of regular sunglasses from Boots, probably around £25. My main requirements were:

Slim plastic arms to slip between head and helmet
No glass
Reasonable coverage top to bottom

Impact resistant sunglasses would have been nice, but they generally have quite thick frames to provide stiffness and that fails my first requirement. If someone can recommend some impact resistant sunglasses for under a helmet I'd be interested.

Keith.

I've recently bought some 'dirty dog' sunglasses from Hein Gericke after my old tesco pair fell to bits. They're not cheap at £40 and to be honest you can probably find just as as good for significantly less. Polarised lenses, and snug fit to stop insects slamming into your eyes were my requirements as I tend to leave the visor open quite a bit on the commute.

P've some in the garage, i'll check their make tomorrow.
I met a guy at the green welly a while back who had m/c specific sunglassed, they were impact resis and had a seal similar to swiming goggles to prevent steamong up.

Impact resistant lenses should really have been top of my priority list. This site has some, but may not meet your first requirement looking at them.

I don't know if the pics are still around, but try searching for the pics of Jo's (Mrs Fud) dad's face after his sun glasses tried to cut off his cheek when he came off his Magni on the way to the AR in the peak district.

I cringe having to wear my specs under a lid. Get a dark visor.

Currently using Oakley Half Jacket SI XJL with Persimmon (Yellow/Orange) Transitions lenses.

Mainly because I like a yellow tint when riding and they are some of the few sunglasses out there with the transitions/reactolite lenses.

Also unlike the cheap sunglasses I have been using for years, these are legal to wear with the visor up...
