Riding In America....
Im in America for 3 months the first month is almost over and i have been on a ride of someone's Harley, or a few peoples Harley's here in the Chicago area, and the part your going to hate is that i enjoy riding them and with a 10 stone rider there not slow, it must be all the fatties riding them in the uk that makes them so slow.
Its good to be able to turn right at a red light so your not waiting for lights to change when noone is around, the lack of roundabouts means there easy to move on these roads, so now looking forward to comparing the SV to the Harley in 2 months when i get home to see if a cruiser is worth getting to go with the SV, so i can have slow cruises to go pull all the girls and a faster bike to ride with the lads :D Helmet law here is Helmets are required but a im yet to see someone riding with a helmet on, i asked the guys who have let me have a go if they have one i could borrow and they said no need to worry the police dont care about that law, and your on a harley people hear you 2 miles before they see you! so first ride without a helmet scared the crap out of me but the wind in the hair felt amazing. Now give me the abuse for liking Harley's here in America... |

Re: Riding In America....
riding Harley's in America is where they belong and should stay.

Re: Riding In America....
Me & the missus are half planning a trip over to the East coast of the states next spring (got a mate who's going over there for a year's exchange) and we've thought about hiring a couple of Harleys and taking a wee tour round.
Sounds good actually! |
Re: Riding In America....
There is nothing wrong with a harley but when you come home and ride your SV you will notice how sh*t there brakes our and that have your legs out all that way forward is not that practical
