1910 model T van, hand crank, dashboard consists of a amp metre and a choke cable , throttle is on the wheel and to engage drive you have to push a sequence of 3 pedals on the floor to get the desired movement. It didn't run as they had taken the battery away as there is absolutely NO security on it what so ever, doors just have catches on them . The whole thing minus the chassis and engine ect is made of wood.... cabin, seats, dash, floor, body... everything, even the floor in teh back is floorboards that you pull up like in a house to get under . As far as i can tell from the workmanship its all original :cyclopsani:

really was stunning to see up close and personal, humbling to have be going over such an old machine and to see the craftsmanship, well for me anyway :)

apparently he's got a mint saloon coming in soon

his boss owns 3, 2 vans (including the one pictured) and a saloon, that van there has been in the family since 1910 or the family were the original owners and bought it back years later, i cant remember now

There was a mint T roaming the island last month, saw it a few times working out on the roads and it always made me smile, absolutely fantastic to see them out and about

Re: Model T

Well, that has got to be about 100 years old, now, that is workmanship!

When I visited Montevideo some years ago they were still using them and had local garages that specialised in repairing them.
