Stubby cans - how noisy?

First post - just bought myself a fully faired '05 SV650S which is very tidy and completely standard at the moment. First thing I want to do is a new can, the standard Suzuki exhaust is far too muted. The Delkevic and Fuel cans appear to be very good value and have a following on here, but I'm wondering whether to go for the standard length can or the stubby? I know most will immediately say "stubby", but I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud and annoy my neighbours early in the morning. Is there a significant difference in sound level between the 450mm and 350mm cans with the baffle "fallen out"? I've listend to lots of youtube videos, but can't really get a good idea of how loud the bikes are.

Also is there a UK stockist of the cartridge emulators either Race Tech or Matris? After riding my brothers CBR600F the suspension feels quite soft and underdamped.

i WILL BE THE 1ST TO SAY HELLO & WELCOME.
I will also say stick with the standard length if you opt for the Fuel can. I stubbied mine & it sounded awful, really loud & drove me mad. It lost the deep rumble that it used to have. I have now got a standard length can on & it sounds really nice

This is the bit where everyone says what can they have and how awesome it sounds ;)

As this is 100% perosnal opinion, your best bet is to listen to some yourself in the flesh. I dont know how feasible this is for you.

Or get a general idea on dB and go by that.

Stubby ones are louder and a much more harsh noise.

Thank you all for the help. I was already leaning toward a standard length can, you have convinced me now!

Stubby was too loud IMO. Great out in the country but too much in town. It's a much nicer sound from a full length can, I reckon. I've got a fuel can btw ;)

I've got a scorpion street extreme stubby (baffle kept in) and was also concerned when I got it that it would annoy the neighbours, but I've found it's not actually that loud, just don't rev the nuts off it.
