Numb Back-side

Is the numb bum you get from the SV specifically related to the seat, or is it just a feature of the bike.

More importantly has anyone managed to rectify the problem completely?

Is that with the Gel seat?

I get ar*e ache what ever bike I ride, where as my mate can sit all day on his plush Virago seats.

Yeah with the gel seat. It starts in my lower back and spreads downwards lol!

The stock seat is like a slab of concrete, if you are still having bum issues with a gel seat, then i suggest a new bike.
I dont get any bum aches on my St now, even before i got my gel seat for it.
From all the things you are trying to change for comfort mate, it looks like you will have to make the decision i did, i couldnt be comfortable on the sv after 50 miles, after that it became a chore.
The comfort kit made a difference admittedly, but back ache, bum ache, it just wasnt for me in the end :(
I have done 300+ miles in a day on it so it wasnt that i didnt give it a go.

the .orgers traditional method of alleviating numb bum is the lunge

for years there have been pics of .orgers, lunging after a long ride, lunging before and sometimes even lunging during

Eat more, more enjoyable than buying a new seat and natural padding :)
