hose pipe bans, drought orders
FFS it is bucketing it down, there is a river running down my drive.
Yet I would be fined £1000 for pumping the basement out through a hose pipe. I don't get it. |
Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders

Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders
Have you ever heard such rot...they are now stopping boats on the most popular boating canal between Leeds and Liverpool....because the reservoirs that feed it are usually at 80% at this time of year, aren't, they are at 30%!
Where the hells it all going, after all its always bleddy raining or snowing up here! |
Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders

Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders
Stick the hosepipe in your watering can and carry both round the garden watering the pots through the spout

Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders
My mate in the Ettrick Valley near Selkirk hasn't had water in his house since April! The last time it rained in the Valley there was a 27ft flood that washed cows, sheep, fences and bridges away and it hasn't rained a drop since. He gets his water from a huge (empty) tank up the hill.
The next valley is a wash out :) C |
Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders
Peed down here all last night, peeing down now here with some thunder, no hosepipe ban though.
Stop the gazillions of gallons getting lost through leaks and problem solved. |
Re: hose pipe bans, drought orders
St Swithin's Day tomorrow - if its raining (its forecast) - then its a wet July/ August on the cards.... Just like the last 3 yrs....
Just to cheer you up :p |
