I once fell asleep going up the A1 in the early eighties on a Honda XL125.
I used to travel back to RAF Leeming in the very early hours after a weekend and one morning I woke up bouncing all over the place in the central reservation - still on the bike.
I can honestly say it scared the carp out of me.

I've fallen a sleep driving once after being awake for 36hours... Possibly the stupidist thing I have managed to do so far in my life.
