S&WS AR10 Ride In - Friday 6th August

Hi All,

Scoobs and I are heading to the AR (from the Portsmouth area) on Friday 6/8. We will be taking the route detailed below and invite you to join if this works for you - MORE THE MERRIER.


M4 Meet Point - HERE

Leigh Delamere Services just after J17 – Services are signed with their name (checkout streetview). Please be there at 11am for an 11:30 sharp departure.


M48 Meet Point - HERE

Severn View (Aust) Services @ J1. Please be there at 12pm ready to depart. This will be a quick stop.


From there we will be taking THIS route to Abergavenny


Abergavenny Meet Point - HERE

A quick pit stop to collect folk at Abergavenny Bus Station. Please be there ready for a 1pm departure.

The route we will be taking TO the M4 is HERE, post #19

The rough plan (circumstances may change this) is to meet nr Fareham > ridethrough Rownhams Services M27 (meet point for scummers). Then onto the M4 via Romsey > Stockbridge > Andover > Devices > Chipenham.

Did you check out the other thread? i.e. Are you going to meet us on the M4 or M27?

However, I won't be joining you as I'll already be at the campsite by then BUT as an alternative it might be good for you to meet at Aust services which is on the A48 (Old Severn Bridge) as people coming up the M5 and across from the M4 can all meet without going out of their way and then here is a nice route for you to get to the campsite

+1, an excellent route even if Dan does say so himself...lol. Darn it...should have done the AR a little further south as the Chepstpw-Abergavenny road is amazing :-)
