Re: Does anyone know what this is??????
I would assume that is the cables for the valve that will be in the standard exhaust
|
Re: Does anyone know what this is??????
i agree the povic bit is the clue
|
Re: Does anyone know what this is??????
they are set valve cables, i got em on the gixer exhaust but ppl disconnect them because they can cause problems, you can also remove the servo and cables to loose weight.

Re: Does anyone know what this is??????
Exhausts on the R6 needs a valve?
There wasn't one on my SV. I can see I will need to do some reading |
Re: Does anyone know what this is??????
Dont worry about it, as Kwak said, just remove it, it was probably to do with noise laws.
Basicly as you get up past a certain rpm (idk say 5000) it would just open up, but seeing as the bike now has an aftermarket exhaust there is no need for it |
Re: Identify these cables please.
a Yamaha invention the old EXUP valve, not for noise back then but to boost mid range power, would only open when at full chat

Re: Identify these cables please.
yea, mines in the downpipes/collector so couldnt actually remove it but all the servo/cables can be turffed out :) it just turns a flap in the zorst system like an exup valve me thinks?
