datatool snitcher (text alert) help on cbr600rr

Hi,
need help regarding issue i have with my datatool snitcher on my cbr600rr

I have wired it up according to the manual:
  • 12V constant---direct to battery
  • swtiched power supply---from brake light (connected on the brake light side of the connector)
  • earth--- on frame
  • green wire which links the snitcher to my datatool alarm so alrm can trigger a text message response.
Now the problem is when ignition is off it sends me a text which is fine, however when ignition is on it keeps senidng me texts when i move bike. so im ridiing along and its texting away saying the alarm has been acitvated or the movement sensor has been activated.

What could be the cause as to why it keeps senidnig me textswhile ignition is on?

its a great bit of kit but its going to get a bit pricey riding my bike and wasting £5-10 worth of credit :)

so at the moment im putting it into valet mode while on bike and then resetting it once i leave the bike parked up.

any help would be greatly appreciated

cheers

how have you connected it to the datatool alarm, usualy its connected to the external siren wires which only go live when the alarm goes off, check you wired correctly

datatools word..."item is discontinued".

wired to alarm using the one wire it says in s4 installation isnstructions and snithcer instructions. connect green wire from snitcher to green/yellow one from alarm.

thinkin maybe faulty unit but dont know.

mite see how it work if i disconnect positive constant

even if the item is discontinued they should still be able to help you resolve your problem, have you tried phoning the helpline?

To clarify - you mean the live side of the switch, not the switched side, yes?

If the intention is to have an ignition controlled live, this connection must not be on the brake light side of the switch, it must be on the live side or the unit will send you a text every time you use the rear brake.
