Provisional licence entitlement?
 
hi, was talking to a friend at work today, he is riding i 125 on L plates atm,

he told me today that his just bought a honda ct250cc old y reg, he has got it in to his head that if he puts the 33 brake kit on it he can ride it on his provisonal licence with the L plates!!

i said that he still needs the A1 licence, but he recons a dealer told him he could do this.....

im sure im right, i am right.. am i?

You are right.

You may not ride anything larger than 125cc AND 15bhp (except when under direct control of a qualified instructor for your DAS).

Tell him to go and clarify things with the dealer, then if story stays same go in shouting and bawling about how he's just got back from court with a massive fine :-P

Either way, full of sh*t. >125cc and whatever kW of power then you need license.

So, what mods does that kit include to get the power up to 33?

A1 is light motorcycles isn't it (e.g max of 125cc)

A2 is the restricted licence (33bhp)
