03 FireBlade 954
Sadly, due to a knee injury, I can no longer ride my 'Blade. I've had it 5 years, from just 2k on the clock. It now has just over 22k and is now fitted with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust (that stubby was just so loud!)
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4079/...94baf907_b.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4074/...d3daec9b_b.jpg I'm looking for £3k, which is what I was offered 2 months ago on a P/X, but at the time I just didn't want to let it go. Since getting a new MOT etc and trying to ride it, I know I can't sustain my leg being in that position for any length of time. So I'm off to find something more comfortable for an old man like me. I have the original exhaust & screen, and it has a tank cover as well. Never dropped, track dayed only once (and as some on here will tell you, I'm not a fast rider anyways....) Obviously, it's alarmed as well.... Please PM if interested. Steve |

Derail
Hi Steve Sorry to read you are injured and the blade has to go. I hope you make a full recovery and return back to two wheels. T'is a few years since I last saw that bike. but back then it was "nice", in a blade sort of way. And looks like it has been well looked after. I hope you find a buyer quickly. Oh and welcome to the old men's club. you got the dribble yet? |
Re: 03 FirdeBlade 954
Hi Tim,
Last December I sprained the medial ligament in my left knee, which was so bloody painful you wouldn't believe.... As always, I didn't listen to the Doc, and tried to get up and about too quickly (I was back at work in 5 days, albeit on crutches) which has led to the fact that I can no longer get the full bend at the knee. Hence a sportsbike is just too painful after about 10-15 minutes. The bike sat covered in the garage for 6 months as I couldn't actually get on the thing. I now need to move it on to fund something more suitable - have my eye on a CB1300S, or maybe even a BMW (God, I couldn't of said that 12 months ago!). Steve |

Re: 03 FirdeBlade 954
bugger, if I didn't need the money to buy furniture in the new year i'd have that as a 2nd bike in an instant...
Good luck with the sale, hope the movement gets better |
Re: 03 FirdeBlade 954
sorry to hear that you've to go to something else from that, but i'm sure you'll find something that gives you thrills in different ways :)
beautiful bike, one of the best looking blades ever in my opinion, and i would quite like it, but being 21 and a student, those funds are out of my reach :( £3k will make someone a very very happy person good luck with the sale, and let us know what you get as a replacement :) |
