Little difference restricted? I disagree.

Unbelievable, out of pure boredom i switched carb slides today back to full power, i know i shouldnt, but i was so bored.

I can not believe how much faster it accelerates, what the hell happens at 6k/7k then! lol. I can barely keep the front wheelie down! so easy to do huge wheelies.

I was lost for words when i got off! What the hell is an R1 like!!!!

Ill be putting them back in tomorrow, only another 9 months left.

Re: Little difference restricted my ****!

Be careful is my advise, its a different bike, dont do what i did and accelerate full throttle like i do at 33bhp, well not the first time lol.

Yesterday me and a friend were racing of the lights, he was on a zr7, until we hit 60mph it was neck and neck even with me at 33bhp!!!(might be him being a big girl) im gonna blow him away next time i see him. Iwas trying to get him to come out today, the chicken.

....Listen to me, what am i turning into, damn its addictive.

Funny that, I too thought double the power output would have felt the same.....

I have no idea how the idea that it doesn't make much difference could have started.

Probably some people riding like Grandmas on the 33 bike then using same amount of throttle on the 70 one.

Re: Little difference restricted? I disagree.

Plenty of people do say it, even on here. I had only ridden unrestricted once b4 when collecting it, i disagreed then with no big bike riding experience, now i can ride, the difference seems even bigger.

Hhmm maybe mine is restricted then. It doesn't feel that much quicker than the ER-5 I learnt on. Maybe it's just me getting used to the power... It's quick enough but isn't exactly an animal. I have pulled a wheelie twice, one on my first day out on it and a week later when i overtook a car in 1st doing about 35MPH I snapped the throttle back because I thought I was in 2nd lol.

Top end seems to be about 110 then struggles like **** to get anything more, so I've heard...

That's one of my two theories.
The second is a chinese whisper like goings on with the "sv is a good bike to restrict" statement.

Re: Little difference restricted? I disagree.

Oh it is a good bike to restrict, just only using half the throttle travel certainly makes a bike feel different!

Plus people saying it makes no difference up to 80(or insert number here) mph. Open the throttle off the lights then you fannies.
