Intermittent fi (fuel injection) warning
I've recently bought a K3 that's done about 15000 miles and sometimes, when you turn the ignition on, the FI display and red warning light flash. So far, after turning the ignition off then on again once or twice, the display comes up as normal.
Should the bike be taken into the bikeshop or is this quite common? |

check oil level

Re: Intermittent fi (fuel injection) warning
Oil level in the site glass was fine yesterday. Up to the 'top' mark. Would low oil level cause the FI/red light warning to come on?

do you know how to check dealer mode

Re: Intermittent fi (fuel injection) warning
Thanks for getting back on this. No I don't. In fact I don't know what the 'dealer mode' is.

Re: Intermittent fi (fuel injection) warning
OK. I've gone and had a look and understand that you get a piece of insulated wire and 'loop' two connectors in the Dealer Mode Activation Connector to get the diagnostic mode up on the display screen. Then I guess, depending what's shown, I go to the 'next' step?

Re: Intermittent fi (fuel injection) warning
Thanks for the info. Looks like ophic had a similar problem. I'll clean ignition switch contacts first and see if that resolves the problem.
