Newbie to SV
Hi, thought i really oughta intro myself,(Siii = Series 3, refering to my series 3 Land Rover I trial) I have been lurking and posted a couple of times but felt I really wasn't 'worthy' as I hadn't actually ridden an SV!
I sat my Mod 1 last week and sat my Mod 2 this afternoon and passed first time :smt109(2 minor faults). I traded my VT125 in 2 weeks ago for a brand spanking K9 in Nebular black and it has been sat in my yard, polished and started every night and today I actually got to ride my very shiny pointy tonight:D Dont recommend buying new bike before passing - just adds to the pressure.:smt120 Looking forward to attending some rideouts, once I can go over 5500 revs(very fustrating - but probably for the best) and hopefully attend some Ecosse events.:smt045 Just thought, should I make my avatar of a pretty young thing to ensure lots of replies? |

Was led to believe that it does the engine more good than harm revving it to just below the red line every now and again when running in. BTW good choice of bike.:smt045:-dd |

Re: Newbie to SV
Welcome to the site mate :D
The running-in will go quicker than you think and it's a good excuse to ride as much as possible - I went away for the weekend to the lakes while I was running mine in, did most of the mileage in the one weekend! ;) |
