Sun, glorious sun.
Just have to take advantage of the lovely weather at the moment so yesterday I was up early and left my house at 0800 hrs.
Turned off the A65 at Hellifield and took a single track road through Malham and Langcliffe. It's a fantastic bit of road. Hardly any traffic and great scenery. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/001-2.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/002-3.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/012-1.jpg Parked up the bike to take some photos and this nosey horse came trotting up. I'm not very keen on horses. They scare me a little. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/009-1.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/013-1.jpg Then took the B6479 up to Ribblehead Viaduct. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/015-1.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/018-1.jpg Then the B6255 to Hawes and Butter Tubs Pass. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/273-1.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm23/tsitsim/219.jpg Butter Tubs Pass is fantastic. Shame it's not much longer. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/026-1.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/028-2.jpg Then I took the B6270 to Kirkby Stephen. Yet another fabulous road. Hardly any traffic. Bliss! http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/033-2.jpg From Kirkby Stephen, on to Brough and the B6276 to Middleton-in-Teesdale with a short stop at Selset Reservoir. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm23/tsitsim/038.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/039-2.jpg Then on to Alston via the B6277. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/043-2.jpg Lunch stop at Hartside. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...tsim/045-3.jpg Then the A6 through Shap and Kendal, then home via A65 which I despise immensely, but by this point I was tired and just needed a quickest way home. 291 miles of lovely riding in the sun. :sunny::sunny::sunny: Happy riding one and all. |

I'm guessing the horse had never seen a 2 tone SV before, just wanted a closer look ;) Love the pics Mel, especially the helmet shots! I might do some of the this route tomorrow, if I can muster the willpower to stop i'll take some pics myself :) |
