FI and flashing light
I know this has probably been covered alot but i've searched and can't seem to find exactly my problem.
if i power the bike on i get FI on the LCD and the red flashing light at the side, the fuel pump primes but sounds odd, like it seems to prime faster than usual? The engine turns over but doesn't start, its also blowing one of the 30a fuses under the seat (the one on the side of the positive bat lead) Ideas? to people who dont know, the bike was stolen recently and has just been recovered, im waiting to hear back from the insurance company about getting it fixed but i NEED the bike as i do a 60 mile commute each morning and it takes me a full hour longer without the bike... |

Re: FI and flashing light
I Can't get the bike on long enough to check errors because it just blows that 30a fuse and all power goes with it as soon as i turn the power on

Re: FI and flashing light
bike was stolen, makes me think of an attempt to start, check for wires that have been damaged or cut that may be touching the frame and shorting it out. Hence all the broken fuses, id flip the tank up and check under the passenger and riders seats for plugs that may be pulled out etc.
Best of luck with it btw electrical problems are a bugger |
Re: FI and flashing light
Well aye they tried to hot wire it, i've reconnected the wires to the ignition and can't see any further damage to any wiring.

Re: FI and flashing light
i've had a problem similar to this, although my fuel pump never even operated, turned out to be a bad connection on the ignition wiring, would defianetly have a look into that area.
