Winter Wear

Hi folks, Just wondering what you all use for cold / wet weather wear. Ive got my mod 2 on 4th of october and all being well should be on the road not long after, but i was wondering what would be the best route to go down for safety gear, either get a full leather suit and get under suit and a jumper or 2 over the top or just go for textiles and wait till the better weather for the leathers.

Cheers,
Cluffy

I reckon you should go for textiles now and look for leathers once the weather picks up again.

Warm and waterproof for the winter.

Alwasy difficult. If you can afford it get leather 'suit' and Textiles. As youa re about to ride through the winter (If you pass and become a real rider then you will) Textiles are the way to go, then next year get yourself some leathers. You can start with Leather trousers.

I have had loads, and like you didnt know what to get when i started. I used to wera Ski type clothing on my scooter int he winter. When i got the SV, i bought a decent textile jacket and some textile trousers.

When buying textiles, make sure they are waterproof, and something i have only learnt recently, its not the lining thats waterproof, but the actual jacket. If you have bottomless pockets, Goretex is the way to go, Sheltex is a good alternative form the likes of Hein Gericke.

HTH and best of luck
