nackerd cylinder head (free ?)
any one got a nackerd head off any kind but preferably an sv head
i want to have a go at porting/flowing a head, as i have to do one at collage but we dont have enough time to spend perfecting it so wanted to do a bit at home. any one willing to donate a head thats shot, not wanted or other wise ? will pay P&P as long as its not to much :smt102 |

Re: nackerd cylinder head (free ?)
A front head from curvy that a collet jumped out of... the valve didn't drop so it's not FUBAR but I wouldn't want to use it... be fine just for looking how far you can go on ports without breaking into waterways or whatever. As far as I know they didn't make massive changes to 2gen until they went to twin spark

cool, if you could find out how much P&P is ill have it :D

Re: nackerd cylinder head (free ?)
P.S back in day when I was playing with considerable vibration and harshness engine we found taking too much out of ports just made it peaky, got lots more torque with just smoothing rather than a massive port. Actually made more power with sport cam too rather than the mad one kent (iirc) made.
I don't think you can do it just on flowbench for best results... you need lots of dyno time. I could use CFD and get lovely smooth flow everywhere... and it would probably run like bag of crap... big trade offs between flow, mixing, velocity etc |
Re: nackerd cylinder head (free ?)
ok cheers :) we will be going through all of this soon on one of the cars we are working on as a few of them have to have the head's replaced, as they have a shelf life on race cars (most are post 95 cars), and the cars are going to be run(tracked) again this year for the first time in about 10 years
