Bike/Car or a mix of both?
I'm interested...
I personally have 2 bikes and no plans to get a car, possibly a van if I could afford it. |

Re: Bike/Car or a mix of both?
1 car - dull estate for everyday transport when not cycling to work.
3 bikes, 1 working fully (GSXR 750 K6), used for track days, Nurburgring and odd european jaunts. 1 dead SRAD about to be broken for spares 1 semi functioning Hond@ XR600, need to fix and sell. I like to keep my biking for fun times, this means the odd commute, but for the daily grind the car is handier for me. |

Just a bike at the mo. I used to have a car as well but I barely used it so got rid. Would want a van, but too expensive to insure.

2 cars, 2 bikes. Soon to be 1 car and 2 bikes...
Use them one a pretty equal split to be honest. |

Re: Bike/Car or a mix of both?
I started off in a car, although wanted bikes forever.
I have mine and the wifes car, can't really pick up my son from nursery on the bike. So practical cars have to stay. 1 bike for riding 1 bike in various bits that one day will go on e-bay. I put occaisional use for the bike, but in reality, I try and ride it whenever I can/depends on picking him up and what's on at work really. ste |
Re: Bike/Car or a mix of both?
bikes are brilliant fun but are totally out 'Trumped' by cars. Little people r catered for as a child seat deosn't fit on the bike, lugguage, weather proof etc. I've used bike for going to work and back and apart from being able to get there and back quicker there is no other benefit. It takes ages to get ready especially in winter when its wet and freezing, in traffic you really have to be careful as most drivers before 6 o'clock are still asleep behind the wheel in auto pilot zombie mode. And at 1800 there all wannabe lewis hamiltons trying to get home for tea! Having a car this winter will be a total blessing. Yes riding 35 miles in the snow last year was fun and exciting but very dangerous and will be a lot safer and warmer when tackled this year in my Focus cage.
I'm now an offical weekend warrior |

Now have 3 bikes & a car.
Last year from MOT to MOT the car did 2700 miles & the SV did over 9000 miles |
