Tsubaki V D.I.D chain?

I had new chain and sprocks fitted, was qouted for a tsubaki (spelling?) but a DID was fitted as that was what they had. It was a Did 525vx, anyone used these before? I always get tsubaki so hope this is as good at least...was told it was better!

Not sure which one I've got on my bike at the moment (it's a DiD chain, I just don't know which one), but the last 3 chains on previous bikes that I've used have been DID extra heavy duty and I found them to be fine

Good morning all.

I prefer Tsubaki to DID. As, I have found the grade for grade they are a little cheaper.

The VX grade is their economy chain. VM2 grade would be the equivalent of the O/E chain, with the VX listed as an alternative.

Cheers.

Typical ...might have known it. I wanted the mother of all chains, paid for it, and ended up with something else. Thanks for info. I'll keep an eye on it, sure it'll be fine, just not what I wanted.

It'll be ok, it just wont last as long as a better grade.

For the record, I always fit Tsubakis SG grade chain. This is their premium chain without the Poncy gold finish, & with O rings & not X rings.

Cheers.

My current DID chain has done about 26000 miles on an SV.Its never been cleaned, but it has regularly been lubed with used engine oil.As long as you buy any quality chain its lifespan is all in the maintenance

One of those I had lasted somewhere over 30K. Would have lasted longer if I'd paid a bit more attention to front sprocket wear.

In fact I'd probably go as far as replacing the front sprocket every 15k. Seems to be working on the current one that's got 25ish K on it.
