Invasion party

Right, you horrible lot... because back in the old days some fool thought the best place for the seat of the national government was in your fine village, I'm invading on Sunday and Monday.

While I'm here, is there anything that is a must-see? I've got pretty much all of Monday morning at my disposal, and probably Sunday afternoon as well. Only place I need to be is at Parliament from 1230.

Chez travelodge just inside the M25, unless a better offer presents itself. I thought it being a different PM, they'd be a bit more easy going about a second offence...

depends what you're into - sightseeing,. museums etc. Lots of things within striking distance of Westminster. National Gallery/Portrait Gallery and Tate Brit are a all a short walk away. And I work right by Parliament Square. What are you doing in the House on Monday?

there's always the imperial hotel on russell square where I stay when I work. Rooms are clean & basic (tv, bath, toilet, shower), breakfast is horrific but it's about 2 miles away from Westminster and 15 mins walk to tottenham court road, russell sq tube station is round the corner from the hotel, lots of shops and parks nearby, and underground parking available..... Think it's £81 a night for a single.

Not planning on mentioning any wars, unless I decide to sample the imperial war museum...
