Ignition that won't turn off!
Over the weekend, I found that I could turn the ignition key to the lock position and remove it and the bike kept running. I ended up using the kill switch and disconnecting the battery to protect the coils from overheating.
Before removing the ignition switch tonight, I decided to try it, and it worked perfectly. I'm a bit baffled as to the cause as the ignition lock barrel should have a permanent connection to the ignition switch. Anybody got any ideas? My worry now is that at some point when I'm out, the opposite will occur and I won't be able to turn the ignition on. |

Damp in the switch? Doesn't sound good though.

Re: Ignition that won't turn off!
A good squirt of WD40 directly into the switch would probably eliminate the dampness theory

Check the switch is still fixed to the back of the lock barrel correctly.
