Joseph Joseph

Who is this man and how does he manage to charge so much for chopping boards? £40 for 4 small bits of couloured plastic?!

Is this the greatest scam since bottled water?

Surely this must have started as a joke/bet. Joseph Joseph is sitting around with his buddy (Bob Bob?) and says "Consumers are so gullible. I bet if I stuck my name and a ridiculous price tag on 10p worth of coloured plastic, loads of people will be convinced it's brilliant and worth the price."

There'll always be stuff like that so long as there are stupid people to buy them! :)

Yup. And guess what's sat on my kitchen counter . Fortunately the Mrs got them for (slightly) less than half the list price, although while she thinks it's a bargain, I still think it's a scam. I prefer to think of her as "easily led by trends" rather than stupid though :)

Wonder if she'll be pi55ed to see I've got yellow mustard on one while making my sandwich today ;)

Re: Joseph Joseph

Most of Joseph Joseph stuff has been around in the catering industry for years, the coloured boards for different food categories certainly have been.

I like some of their designs and obviously with the invention of the heat proof silicon stuff and the popularity of it taking off, old products are now being redesigned with this material in mind, some clever stuff out there.

Sadly though Joseph Joseph being a brand name you will always pay for the name, there are other products out there that are exactly the same without the logo.
