Being as i have one 7106, i would suggest using it as a door stop and nothing else, cos they aint the best.
Ever since pr*cks and c**ts world had mine to repair the screen its never been the same, now it needs a new keyboard cos the q,a,z and 1 keep stopping working, £30 for a new one apparently, and it switches off cos it gets too hot.

Haha, ours used to do that, i know it's not the best is old and slow and hardly any memory, however don't have 400 quid for a new one, saying that the mrs just said someone was offering £50 trade in, that might be worth doing.

Speedplay thanks for that will give her a bell tommorow.

I've got a pile of lappys with the same problem. I'm afraid to say chances are this is a doorstep unless you're prepared to shell for a new motherboard.
